School's out soon…and children will spend time with friends, at camp, and on family trips. But for 54,000 children living in Southwest Florida, summer is far from a carefree time. They will go hungry.
More than 60% of public school children in our region qualify for free or reduced-price school meals. From August through May, these students rely on school meals to provide them with the vital nutrition they need to learn. Now, with schools closing for the summer, families will turn to the Harry Chapin Food Bank to replace those dependable school meals.
We need your support to ensure that our shelves stay stocked for the summer. Please make a gift to the Harry Chapin Food Bank today. No matter what the amount, your donation will be immediately increased to 8 times its value.
If you care, share. Help us end summer hunger in Southwest Florida.
