"Be The One" to help us in our mission to fight hunger and feed hope during the 2016 Giving Challenge, a 24-hour, online fundraiser starting at noon Tuesday, Sept. 20, and continuing through noon Wednesday, Sept. 21. 

During this 24-hour time period, contributions to the food bank through the Giving Challenge website will be matched 2:1 for new donors and 1:1 for returning donors, thanks to the Patterson Foundation.

Your donation will help us feed children, families, seniors, the working poor and underemployed, the homeless, the disabled and others in need.

In addition, your contribution can have even more impact through a match from the Patterson Foundation.
  • Contributions from new donors will be matched 2:1, up to $100 per new donor, per organization.
  • Contributions from returning donors will be matched 1:1, up to $100 per donor, per organization.
  • There is no limit to the number of individual matches a nonprofit can receive during the 2016 Giving Challenge.

The 2016 Giving Challenge is presented by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, with giving strengthened by The Patterson Foundation, as well as support from Manatee Community Foundation, John S. and James L.
