  • Walmart’s “Fight Hunger. Spark Change” national campaign runs through April 25

    Walmart’s 2016 “Fight Hunger. Spark Change” campaign continues through April 25 to help Feeding America and its network of 200 food banks, including the Harry Chapin Food Bank. Walmart has donated $1.5 million to kick off the campaign, with a goal of raising $3 million with the public’s support.

  • Starbucks perks up to help feed the hungry

    Socially-minded Starbucks has launched a FoodShare Program to donate unsold nourishing, ready-to-eat meals to Feeding America’s network of food banks, rather than see them tossed in the trash.

    The FoodShare Program will be implemented over the next five years to rescue 100 percent of Starbucks’ unsold ready-to eat meals, including breakfast and Panini sandwiches, Bistro Boxes and salads, from all company-operated Starbucks locations.

    The WINK News Feed Families Hunger Walk 2016 raised $305,000 to support the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida and its partner agencies!

    More than 800 people walked Jan. 16 at Miromar Outlets in Estero to support the food bank’s largest fundraiser of the year.     Empty Bowls Naples 2016 has raised $95,000 for the Harry Chapin Food Bank, blowing away last year's record total of $66,000!
