Aniret waited patiently in a long line of cars waiting to receive nonperishable food and produce at the Boys and Girls Club of Collier County. She had her smiling daughters Mia, 7 and Lia, 4, with her. Aniret said she lost her job at a day care facility when it closed due to the coronavirus. Her husband is still working. She said it was “crazy” this month trying to make ends meet. “I don’t know what next month will bring,” she said. A stimulus check from the government will help. In the meantime, she’s trying to remain philosophical amidst the chaos. “It is what it is,” she said.
