Captain Mike, who runs a small bay fishing trip out of a local marina on Fort Myers Beach, stopped by in his pickup truck for some food and also said this reminds him of the red tide crisis. “This is worse than red tide. At least we still had people coming here. People needed something to do. We were passing out cough drops, but we still had people coming,” he said.
Captain Mike said he had enough money to pay his bills for the month. “That’s it,” he said. “I’m going to have to put my bills on hold.”
