The 12th annual WINK Feeds Families Hunger Walk is just about three weeks away! There’s still plenty of time to form a team to participate in the food bank’s biggest fundraiser of the year on Jan. 18.
Walking to support Harry Chapin Food Bank’s mission to lead our community in the fight to end hunger is a great way for you and your family, neighborhood, business or organization to kick off a new year and a new decade! The two-mile walk, held at Miromar Outlets in Estero, is non-competitive, family-friendly and pet-friendly. Registration for the event is at 8:30 a.m. and the walk starts at 9:30 a.m.
Because of your support, we have raised nearly $3 million at the Walk over the last 11 years. Harry Chapin Food Bank serves people in need in Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee Counties, including children, families, seniors, veterans and others who may not know where their next meal is coming from. We provide food to about 28,000 people per week.
All funds from the Walk will stay in the Southwest Florida area. The walk is presented by Bill Smith Appliances & Electronics and the Copperleaf Charitable Foundation.
