Lining up to give as well as receive
Thousands of people have waited in long lines over the last few months to receive food at one of our 13 weekly drive-thru distributions. But some came to give back to help us feed others. Fred Twitchell waited patiently in line at the Lee County Civic Center distribution, but when his turn arrived he donated two bags of food instead and handed a $100 bill to a volunteer. Why? “People need it,” he said simply.
