Preparing for Thanksgiving has been on the minds of all of us at Harry Chapin Food Bank for the past several weeks. For many of us, Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays as it involves food and spending time with those we love. We are mindful that this Thanksgiving will look very different for all of us, and not just for those who are hungry.
We are thrilled to share that we distributed 980,581 pounds of food this week into our five-county footprint. We sat down with Lois Thome, WINK News anchor and Molly Chipman, our partner relations manager to get a sense of what families can expect to find on their Thanksgiving plates.
Thank you to the many that have helped your food bank serve 817,151 meals into our community this week. We are doing all that we can to ensure that the quarter of a million people we serve each month will have plenty to eat as they gather for their Thanksgiving meal. We are grateful that we can count on your steadfast support and wish you all our very best this Thanksgiving.
