Harry Chapin Food Bank continues the tradition of helping families put a Thanksgiving meal on the table. The food bank will distribute a total of $35,000 in the form of $10 gift cards to families through our Partner Agency Program. The gift cards are designated for
the purchase of food at local supermarkets for holiday meals.
These gift cards are often more economical and efficient for people we serve, because they can purchase turkeys, chickens or other Thanksgiving food at the sale prices offered by the stores, making their dollar stretch further.
Harry Chapin Food Bank is accepting turkeys that will be distributed through our Partner Agency Program, in addition to the gift cards.
Those who wish to donate turkeys or chickens can drop them off at Harry Chapin Food Bank’s Fort Myers Distribution Center or the Collier County Center in Naples from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. For information or questions, call 239.334.7007.
