Harry Chapin Food Bank invites supporters to take part in Give Where You Live Collier on Wednesday, Feb. 20 and Thursday, Feb. 21. Your support will help the food bank in its mission to lead our community in the fight to end hunger.

Give Where You Live Collier is a 24-hour, online fundraising challenge from noon on Feb. 20 to 11:59 a.m. on Feb. 21. The event, held by the Community Foundation of Collier County and the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation, will benefit nonprofits that serve the Collier community. The Harry Chapin Food Bank is among 40 nonprofits participating in this event.

The food bank provides food to those in need through a network of more than 150 agencies in Collier, Charlotte, Hendry, Glades and Lee Counties, with 35 of those agencies in Collier County. The food bank also has a Collier County Center at 3940 Prospect Ave. #101, in Naples, to provide expanded services to the area. $500,000 Matching Fund

The Community Foundation of Collier County and the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation have partnered to create a $500,000 Matching Fund for Give Where You Live Collier. The match begins with a guaranteed match up to $2,500 for all participating nonprofit organizations that raise at least $2,500 from noon Feb. 20 to 11:59 a.m. Feb. 21.  After that, a proportionate share of the remaining match money is used towards any amount raised over $2,500.
