In this month’s State of the Food Bank, Lois Thome, WINK News anchor, sat down with Lori Harrington, Volunteer Manager of Harry Chapin Food Bank, to paint a picture of how our incredible change makers are making a difference and how you can help us feed those who are hungry.
This week, our food distribution programs distributed 852,761 pounds of food into our five-county footprint. We are so grateful to the 435 change makers who helped us sort produce, pack and distribute food kits. We are indebted to the thousands who have joined in our mission to lead our community in the fight to end hunger.
Together, we are making a difference to the more than a quarter of a million people in Southwest Florida that we are serving each month. Together, we are doing everything in our power to ensure that no one has to go hungry.
