Many schools in our five-county footprint will soon wrap up this unusual school year. Sixty-six percent of the school-age children will soon face Summer Hunger as they will no longer be fed breakfast and lunch at school. In this month’s State of the Food Bank, Lois Thome, WINK News Anchor sits down with Monica Correa, Program Outreach Manager to discuss how your food bank plans to address our most vulnerable members of our community, its children.
This week, we distributed 860,342 pounds of food to those who are hungry. We are incredibly grateful to those who helped make this happen. Your support enables us to ensure that no one has to go hungry, especially, our children.
