In this month’s State of the Food Bank, Lois Thome, WINK News anchor, sat down with Barbara Evans, Chief Development Officer, to discuss how your food bank has managed now that we have crossed the one year mark of the Coronavirus pandemic.

It is our privilege to be the conduit of nourishment, hope and love in our five-county footprint. While this past year has been particularly challenging, we are grateful that we have 37 years of history to draw upon and helped sustain us during this past year. Our ability to pivot as quickly as we did under these current circumstances is because of our past experiences.

We remain honored to be the trusted partner of so many who share in our same vision that no one should have to go hungry. We are humbled by your generosity, your support, your volunteerism, your love. You truly provide us with the fuel to continue wading in these uncertain waters; together we will overcome the many challenges we face.

Because of you, a total of 959,341 pounds of food was distributed into our community this week. Because of you, more than a quarter of a million people are being fed each month. From the bottom of our hearts – we thank you.
