“March to a Million Meals” is a heroic effort hosted by WINK News to help Harry Chapin Food Bank provide a million meals to those that are hungry. The incredible response we have received empowered us to distribute 953,068 pounds of food into our five-county footprint this week!
Each month, we share our “State of the Food Bank,” to provide an update about what we are doing to feed the quarter of a million people each month who are hungry. We have been so fortunate to have award-winning WINK News Anchor, Lois Thome, asking the questions. This month, we decided to reverse the script and ask Lois a few questions about her passion for fighting hunger and how “March to a Million Meals” came to life.
As we near the end of WINK Feeds Families “March to a Million Meals,” we express our deepest gratitude for all the generosity we have witnessed from the community. Together, we are making a difference.
